christmas

Well Saturday me and Brent and Bria went and tried to finish up our christmas shopping. it went fairly well. I took him with because it is getting harder to carry bria in and out of the car by myself with all these people and try to make it home in time for her nap. I am just not as quick as I once was. lol.

But now the only people left to buy for is Brent and I need to buy 2 gift cards. the gift cards were supposed to be done on Saturdya but I forgot. So still hav eto get those. But i am pretty impressed that that is all i have left.


ANd brent finally gave me a couple of ideas to get him so at least i have that. something to go by. I am hoping to maybe take a day off this week and finish him up. i don treally want to take a day off but there is only one weekend left and really? i want to be done! now i need to get wrapping, i have some wrapped but not all.

sorry guys havent posted in awhile. things seem soo crazy and i dont always remember to post here and since i dont often get comments sometimes i forget that people even read this. then am i just posting for myself?? anyway. whats new at the line household?? well lets see. Bria is a little stink pot still. haha, she still is being stubborn and isnt walking. she is soo afraid of falling, yet when she tries to climb on things she has no fear. her new things are saying Hi, Cool and nodding her head yes, thankfully she has not realized how to say no yet. she just ignores me if she doenst want to do something lol. She also is trying to show us how independent she is, she doesnt WANT to go to bed at night lately. ugh! I also think she is teething and maybe getting an ear infection. We took her to the doc yesterday and the doc said she saw something in there that COULD be the start of something, but result...no meds. so we wait and see and until then give her motrin and tylenol as needed.

the new baby...well. i am getting big and fast!! had to order 2 new pairs of dress pants the other day, which is way differnet then with bria. i was in a lot of my regular pants with her up until the end!! Anyway, i am 29 weeks now, so 10 weeks or so left. I am hoping that this VBAC goes well!!

Brent, well he got a 12 pointer at deer hunting rifle season and can only get one doe now, so he has been going mussle loading when possible. otherwise i keep him busy i guess. or try to, he also has been helping dave get his house started before winter, so he is always busy.

Thanksgiving was good, went to Jim and lindas on thursday, ate way too much of course. friday i hung out at home, brent was helping dave, fridya night went out for a 21st birthday, havent been to one of those in ages!! Saturday went shopping with linda, brandice and jade. got a few more christmas presents done. sunday we were supposed to go to kim an dreggies, but emma threw up the night before, and with bria not sleeping well we decided to not chance it. she ended up with a fever anyway that morning, and took a really long nap that we had to wake her up from....

updates

Well I do have a few people done for Christmas and i got some amazing deals! i wont share since the moms check this (i assume) so then they will know what their kiddos are getting, but so far i have sami half done, bryce, mason, parker and gage done. and maddie and emma are done. i also have what we are getting my parents for their anniversary (have to do the work but at least i know what i am gettin ghtem) and we know what we are getting jim and linda for their anniversary and christmas as well. and i have brandice half done too. so really i am doing fairly well. all that is left is lexie, caden, penny, dad, dad, mom, jim bday, linda bday, my name, brents name, and the rest of sami and brandices. oh and jacqueline, bt i know what to get her, and then we have 10 dollar man an dwoman gifts for line christmas, and a 10-15 dollar gift for work. and then the rest of bria and brent.
so i guess writing it out i still feel like i have a lot left to do! but buying little by little is helping.

bria is herself, now she says HI to everything, i mean everything! she still loves to climb on everything too....EVERYTHING! dining room table!

this baby moves and shakes often! i am getting big enough said on that! lol

brent is good shot a 12 point buck this weekend. so he is happy with that, although hewanted to mount it and now has to do just a european mount becuse of the hide on it.

i think that is it. budgeting is going okay we all need reminders on that, anyone else? how you doing?

Groceries for the next two weeks

This past weekend I went grocery shopping for the next two weeks. Brent wanted to come, so it was a family event, now i think i would do better without them there, but really I didnt do too bad, he didnt put too many new things into the cart. Also i didnt have as much time as i would like to come up with a meal plan and check my coupons, but it still worked out. I spent ....drumroll please......$91.82 dollars!! for two weeks! i just forgot and bought later 2 cans of tuna and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup mix. otherwise that is it!! and those things arent that spendy either. my biggest expense that wasnt really calculated was these honeycrisp apples that brent wanted. i was goign to get apples but not these expensive ones. All well. We have tried a few new things this week, and are doing better at eating at home instead of eating out to save money. I made my moms recipe of cream potatoes last night, they were delish!! we have also had chicken stir fry and a beef roast with coke in the crock pot. anyway that is my grocery challenge update...is anyone else trying to budget better for groceries? how are you doing?? any tips?

life

well mine and brents life. we bought a rental unit so we are looking at how we can effectevly rent that out and make the most money. brent starts his second job (maintenance man) october first. sounds awesome a second job, but it is only a couple hours a week just doing maintenance at an old folks manor.
i am busy trying to organize, it isnt going well. but i reorganized brias clothes in bins, sothat helped. i am trying to get my scrapbook area all set up upstairs so i have a designated area for it.

i am also starting to think about christmas and the 24 plus presents i need to buy for it. ugh christmas is way too draining onthe pocket book, it makes it not even fun that way...i love buying people presents, i do, but dang!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Belly

so i am now over half way to meeting this baby! since they will probably either induce about one week early or do a scheduled c-sec one week early i technically have less then 19 weeks left!! woohoo! i am definetly showing now no hiding it really. got the flu shot and really the only complaint i have right now concerning pregnancy is my HORRIBLE HORRIBLE back pain. at night lower back pain, not sciatic but back spasms all over in my lower back. cant handle it, need to search for a new pillow this weekend and hopefully can relieve some of that stress...

dont have another appt for a while yet. dont really have anything for this new baby. bought a double stroller, and bought one outfit, that is it. better start making a list!!

Bria

well bria is everywhere lately. talking up a storm every day it seems she is saying a new word. some of the words she says but doesnt really say on command is bye, dad, mom, papa, brush teeth (brush eeeeee) hi, puppy (pup pup), bria (she hasnt said this one in awhile) and we are working on others. there are more to the list too, but i cant remember them all right now. she jibber jabbers all day so it is hard to tell. she also loves stairs and having you "get her" she sleeps through the night and is only taking one nap a day...my baby is growing up sooo fast! she also loves babies!! there is one at daycare and she loves her!! shoudl be interesting when this baby comes!

budgeting update!

Hello! i know kim wanted some more updates and posts on everything I had promised so here you go!
Budgeting. going alright, paid off one credit card! woop! then bought a double stroller. but at least that gets paid off fast with just that on there. Now on to our last credit card! it is nice to have one bill out of the way and done with. grocery shopping has been going well too. i really hav been chceking ads and checking out blogs on the internet with discounts and free deals etc. i have now received 3? candy bars for free just for signing up...no i dont get spam mail from it. not that my waistline needs free candy, but still :) it pays sometimes to check out some discount sites!
I am also working on getting money in savings, well more money in savings. the financial experts say to have 3-6 months of income saved just in case. so taht is my goal. but that is a large number, so i am making small goal to get to that goal. hopefully this all happens in stride.

also i did take some clothes into a consignment store to try and get some money, they sell them and i get a percentage of that, so come spring i will check on that and see how much money i will get...hopefully LOTS!!

Baby, we are moving on up!

Sorry I havent posted in a long time. My officemate who also happens to be my boss and the only other person in my department at work had a SURPRISE quadruple bypass and has been out so i got his work and my own, was working from home a lot too. so nice overtime to go in comp time for maternity leave, but otherwise it stinks!! he is working from home now a bit, so it is taking a bit of the work off of me, so that is good. but i desperately need s mental health day when he is back full time in the office.

had a doctor appt yesterday, went well had an ultrasound too, i am 18 weeks along, we were SOOO close to finding out if this baby is a boy or a girl, but didnt....heartbeat was 140-150 range. i cant believe i am almost half way done already! so much left to do!!

Bria is talking up a storm, her new words are bye bye, puppy (pup pup) and i think she said thank you just the other day. she is also become a climber so you have to be very careful with her now.

me and brent are busy like normal. he got a job as a caretaker of a place in town, so a little extra money coming in and it keeps him busier, but really it isnt much more work then what he does now.

This weekend i get to go to Mary Poppins with my mom, sister and sister in law, should be fun!!

Doctor Appt.

Hello! had my doc appt yesterday, everything went well heard the heartbeat again. Nothing new to report BUT i think i am starting to show! good thing i told work last week! Next appt is in about four weeks, we have an ultrasound (which would be the big one IF we were finding out what we were having) and a regular appointment.

we are on the search still for a crib, the crib that we were given is very old and I am not sure it is safe still...there is no manufacturer to tell if there is any safety issues, so I am deciding not to use it, call me a paranoid mom if you want to, but i just dont want to take the risk to save a few bucks.

weekend of rain, and pickles

This weekend was alright. friday night we went to Bug-A-Boo Bay for supper that was fun adn bria loved looking at all the fish in the tank! Then saturday Bria slept till 9:30am which was okay because friday night she was up a lot...teething. Then we went to the Todd County Fair...it was sad...barely any buildings or exhibits or anything! Then it downpoured on us. We left and brought bria home for a nap. Then we picked cucumbers, carrots, green beans and onions. saturday night we rented Gran Torino. Brent liked it I went to bed early, had a horrible headache ALL saturday still have it today actually. Sunday we hung out, did pickles so now we have about 20 quarts of pickles....for our first batch this year. Felt icky and sick sunday too.

Last night we had her one year pictures, I was nervous...new person doing the pics and bria has been soo tired and crabby lately...but she was good. we have gotten her to smile better before but we ended up getting some awesome shots! here are just a few i like...

Weekend

Friday night went to a garage sale and bought a big ziplock bag full of play food. ones that have the velcro so you can "cut" it. and a Hammer thing. bria liked the food so i went th enext morning and bought the grill too...it makes noise and talks. it is cute. I am thinking we might need to get her a Kitchen for Christmas. Or maybe ask one of the gmas and gpas and give them that idea. Anyway, then saturday Brooke, Roby and Roby came over, it was cute to see them together. I got pictures I will have to post another time. Then Brent went golfing for the Sports Boosters tourney. His team did okay I guess. Me and Bria went grocery shopping. I was almost $7.00 under budget! YAH i could of done better without bria with me but all well! oh and saturdya morning bria slept till 9:30am and we woke her up then!!! so she didnt get a morning nap, at lunch she was falling asleep while eating. then she took a four hour nap! she must be growing! I cleaned and organized on saturday, I think i am finally regaining some energy. Sunday we hung out and played outside. Bria LOVES eating apples off the tree in our yard! loves it! That was our weekend! :)

Baby Belly

so i am starting to show...now i dont think it looks like a preggo belly but it definetly looks like i have a spare tire, i am pretyt sure i need to tell work SOON, or they are going to find out themselves. Probably next week or so. I hate telling people...i dont know why, but then i feel somethign bad will happen!

Right now due date is February 16th. but we will be trying for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian) sooner then that. I will keep you posted.

Next appt is a week from monday i think. just a normal appt.

Bria updates

Bria had her one year check up on Tuesday, she is now 23.3 pounds and 30.5 inches long and her head is 18 inches. She also got two shots, they did NOT sit well.....she was running horrible fevers and she was just crabby!! and now that that is FINALLY almost over with, she is teething! she is getting her 5th and 6th teeth at the same time. hopefully they pop through then mommy can get some sleep!
she is crawling and trying to get everywhere and daddy is still her favorite!! otherwise she is good! :) i am hoping the daddys girl thing will eventually turn into mommys girl!

coupons

lately i have been buying the Sunday paper, checking out the Peach for which stores have the best deals on groceries, making a meal list for two weeks and buying accordingly and following my strict budget. NOW i just made a budget and tomorrow will be my FIRST experience going to a larger grocery store and HAVING to follow my budget...I do have a little extra just in case my first time doesnt go well. Anyway, first i want to share that i have already went to the two other grocery stores that had the best deals. Last night i went to clarissa grocery store. they have the best deal on Pepsi products right now, but so far i am not sure i really need pop, so i didnt buy anything. then today i went to staples local grocery store and bought Smart Ones, ravioli, potatoes, and chicken breast. yes a local grocery store had a better deal on skinless boneless chicken breast then anywhere else that is local. THEN i searched online for coupons, found 2 $1 off coupons for chicken breast...so i got 2 dollars off. so today at Ernies (staples groecery store) i bought 4 packages of chicken breasts, 5 smart ones, 10lb of potatoes, and two packages of these egg roll things, all for 31.98 this is a savings of over 20!!! I am pretty proud of myself actually! :) HOpefully I can continue.
