DIAPER DEAL!!

I posted before (I believe) about the diaper deal on Amazon? Anyway, if you get the Parents magazine or Parenting magazine there is a pullout card with a unique Amazon code for 20% diapers. go to Amazon, click on diapers, subscribe and save options (to get 30% off), pick your diapers then hit subscribe and save and then use your code. That way you can get 50% off diapers!! amazing deals!

If anyone isnt going to use their codeplease email me separetely as i would love to use them! having two kids in diapers is wallet busting lol! HOPEFULLY, Bria will be potty trained soon.

Recipes

I found this fun snack to try in a cooking light magazine. (I love cooking light mag.) it was soo simple and tasty! and 90 calories for 1/2 a cup!
6 cups popcorn (it said microwave popcorn, i did air popped popcorn)
4 cups chex (i used rice 2 cups and 2 cups of golden grahams)
7oz of marshamallow creme
mix cereal and popcorn together. microwave creme in bowl for 1 min. stir then microwave one more minute. mix together, spread on baking sheet bake for 5 minutes at 350 and then stir then bake again for another 5 minutes or until golden brown. let cool on wax paper then store in an airtight container.
i added about 1/4 cup chocolate chips too, then it was like a smore! soo good!!!

Update plus weekly meal plan!

1. Exercise 3 days a week. Friday me and a girl from work went on a fast paced walk for about half an hour, i cleaned yesterday and didnt sit much and i think i got close to my 10,000 steps as i didnt put the thing on till 11am. And last night i worked out for 15 minutes on my treadmill! lol. i started a workout on there and boy i think i need to work up to it. and it is hard to work out as bria and brent are staring at me lol.

2. Eating right. Friday night we had spaghetti, saturday i didnt know what to make for lunch so i took one can of tuna in water, drained, chopped up 3/4 of a jar of marinated artichokes, little bit of the juice from the marinade, pepper, put on toast with swiss cheese, carrots and pineapple. mmm. bria even ate the sandwich at least a bit.

3. Save money. well i did spend money a treadmill, but it was used so not that much, but we didnt eat out this weekend which is huge since normally we do eat out at least once a weekend.

4. Pay off bills. Just got paid Friday so i am working on paying off bills. but they are all getting lower THANKFULLY :)

MEAL PLAN:
saturdya night we had nachos, not the healiest but this way we didnt eat out, yesterday lunch we had leftovers and last night we had chicken fajitas. it was healthier since we made our own seasonings instead of the packet. brent puts all this stuff in a bowl and it tastes AWESOME! we also had watermelon with it.

tonight i am going out to eat with friends from high school and brent and bria are having sloppy joes and french fries. Charlee will have cereal and applesauce.

and i just realized i left my sheet with what are meal plan is at home, so i will update that tomorrow

Update on Goals

1. Exercise 3 days a week. Well this starts next week as I wont get the treadmill till this weekend. Next week is kind of a crazy week, so i am going to have to plan a bit. Monday going out to supper with my friends from high school, wednesday is the kids doctor appointments and saturday i have a bachelorette party to go to. BUT i want to QUIT making excuses and start being accountable for my actions.

2. Eating right. As i was going to post here I realized I didnt take anything out for supper....dang. well, now i have to think of something healthy that we have in our house. and brent is not home for supper tonight. Might have to run to the grocery store and grab something...any ideas?

3. Save money. I have been doing really well with swabucks lately. if you havent signed up yet seriously sign up by clicking the box to the right. i have 32 $5.00 amazon gift cards i have earned since november!! and it is a reputable company. they ahve been featured on many news sites. I also have been doing opinon outpost. sign up under me, you do surveys when they ask and you can earn money i have already earned $28.70 since joining only a few short months ago.

I also have been making my own laundry soap (see post below) and really trying to be conservative on this.

4. Pay off bills. well still working on my credit card. after i pay daycare today i will know how much i have paid off and will hav eto update then.

GOALS

Alright here are my goals, I am going to make a few goals then update you guys on how I am doing. I think I need to be accountable to someone...even if Ashley is the only one that reads this (Shout out to Ashley lol)

1. Exercise 3 days a week. I was doing really well with the Couch to 5k program, then it became ridiculously hot and I couldnt run in it. Now this weekend probably I will get a treadmill (if it looks alright and we can make a deal etc) so I am going to start working out 3 days a week. walking at first since it has been awhile. then going on to the couch to 5k again. I want to get fit!!

2. Eating right. I want to eat right and get healthy and lose weight. I want to get down to pre preganancy weight and frankly i am 10 pounds from it, so i feel....well, fat. so here it goes! if you have any recipes that are CHEAP and good and healthy please send them my way, i will make them then review them.

3. Save money. dont we all wish we had more money? i am always searching for the allusive money tree. I want to really watch what i spend. i have been going to the gas station for a treat more often then a "treat" is needed. I could save a ton of money this way.

4. Pay off bills. We are doing fairly well in this are. as one credit card is paid off and one is sooooo close to being paid off. But i know we could do even better.

I think that is my goal for right now. Updates are in the next post.

Making your own laundry soap

I have been reading about people making their own laundry soap for awhile now and at first i was skeptical. but i decided to take the plunge and try it. I went out and bought the supplies. Borax (approximately 2.99-3.99 a box, found at Target), Washing Soda (approximately 2.99-3.99 a box, found at Coborns), Ivory soap (or Fels Naptha, you need one bar if you use Ivory, i bought a 4 pack for less then $4.00 but I cant remember how much for sure from Coborns) water and optional is essential oils, this is just to make it smell good. i got one bottle at the health store for 4.99.
what you do is take 6 cups water and melt your own bar of Ivory soap (we shaved it with our cheese grater)after that is done you add in your 1/2 cup of borax and 1/2 cup of washing soda, stir till dissolves. Add in 6 cups hot tap water to your jug (some use an empty kitty liter container, we used an old oil container) add in soap mixture, then add in 2 gallons plus 6 cups tap water, then add essential oils till it smells to your liking. then stir, loosely cover. let stand 2 hours to cool, stir then you can use it! we poured ours into our old containers. the one thing we had happen was it turned to jello a bit. so we mixed it up with a hand mixer, but i am told that is okay to use like that as well. we have used it often and it seems to work just fine, for heavily soiled loads add in more borax or washing soda.
it is amazing tha tyou can make this much laundry soap for soo cheap and spend a hefty amount on laundry soap at the store. Try it and let me know how well you do!
