Skinny Taste Cookbook

I got to review the Skinny Taste Cookbook for blogging for books. I had been following her on Instagram for awhile and I was soo excited to get the opportunity to review this cookbook. I got the cookbook in hardcover and flipped through it. It had amazing pictures. About 2 out of 3 of the recipes had pictures either initially or in the process or at the end. I made the skinny salisbury steak with mushroom gravy. Kids loved it too. It wasnt the most amazing salisbury steak recipe I have ever had, but really good and a really easy recipe. I also tryed the cubano-style stuffed pork loin. This was soooo easy and sooo fantastic. they had a picture in the middle of this recipe. Anyway it was fantastic and i will for sure be making it again! Anyway, I would recommend it to other people for sure! Lots of the ingredients are easy to find, not a lot of odd ingredients, the only downfall of it is that the baked goods or desserts area doesnt look that great to me. But the rest are good. This review was based on a free book by blogging for books.

Book review: Peter Pan Must Die

I read this book in a much longer time then it normally takes this fast reader. The plot was interesting but at times unbelievable. It was about this retired detective being called into a closed case. The author references a ton of his other books in this one to try to entice the reader to read those. there was only one referenced that I may check into. There are a ton of twists and turns and some predictability because of the case of cop sabotage of a case and a hired hitman who is unstoppable. Overall, a good easy airplane read.

Another Book Review!

The Skies belong to Us by Brendan I. Koerner I read this true story and now i am writing my review for all of you to read! This book was harder to get into then some others. It is a story about the United States in the 60s and the sky jacking epidemic that happened around that time. (of which i had never heard of before) and mainly focused on one specific couple. This book jumped around a bit and didnt focus as much on the couple as i thought it should. However, very interesting topic and i am surprised i hadn't heard anything like this before since I am really into history and all that. This book is perfect for those who like history, things about war and planes and national security and the like. I would still recommend this book to people to read, just not ALL people to read. i would say 2.5 stars out of five. Book review!

Hey everyone! I haven't been on here in awhile, so when I got an email asking to review some books (for free) and post my reviews on my blog I was very excited as you know I really love to read. So i ordered my first book, got it last week and started and finished it in the last week. The first book I chose was The Execution of Noa P. Singleton. by Elizabeth L. Silver. I feel like I had heard about this book, or have seen it before so I decided to try it, I usually don't read the back of books and just go by instinct, so that is what I did with this one. It is about a girl on death row only 6 months from her execution and about the girl she killed mom coming to try to get her clemency. It is basically her in her cell thinking of the past and her talking to a newly graduated law student regarding her life. It isnt about prison life, it isn't "Orange is the New Black" type of book. Every turn there is a new thing you realize that makes things make sense. Her mom dropped her as a baby and the implications of her mom lying to police that an intruder came in and how that effected the rest of her life. A deadbeat non existent dad who she finally finds. I am not sure if i liked the main character or not. I cant even say, but this is one of those books that will stay with me for a long while. I do recommend reading if you want a thought provoking book, like the law or crime novels. No romance really in this book. I give this one 3.5 stars out of 5 if I am giving a rating system. Below are some links to were you can find out more information. I would read something from the same author again. The Execution of Noa P. Singleton PB Press Release More Info Author Bio
